Thrive: Called To Prosperity by Tope Fortune
“And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and
over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, God
created man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
– Genesis 1:26-27
When God created you, He did that with a purpose in mind. He has equipped you with the mandate to dominate; Genesis 1:28 specifically asks us to dominate. If we must break wrong mindsets, we will start from here, from the beginning when time began.
God's intention for us as His children is to dwell in prosperity. I want you to understand that there is no prosperity if you have got the wrong mindset.
Many years ago, I was brought up in an environment where women were relegated to the back. We grew up establishing the fact that women must depend on a man before they can be successful.
I mean I didn’t know that I also possessed the power to dominate my environment. Whoever messed with my mind, did a pretty good job for almost three decades!
Until your mentality shifts from where it used to be to where it should tend to, and
be, then you will be busy doing nothing.
The plan for us is that we should be like the cedar trees of Lebanon planted in the house of the Lord. For us to have the right mindset about the work we have been given to do, we must be planted and rooted in Christ first. We need to remember that He formed us and called us into prosperity.
God makes no mistake at all, and whatever He created is beautiful. God has created women in the place of a helpmeet, not as an apprentice or a slave, but as strong allies.
He has created you in His image and that qualifies you to be a co-creator. You are embedded with so many potentials at your disposal for your becoming to manifest. God has put in you His nature so you can reign as the king you are meant to be.
You are created after God’s heart to reign as a king and a priest combined. We are not called into a life of mediocrity.
Prosperity is not all about money; money is but a tiny fraction when it comes to prosperity.
If you must elevate into your next phase, then you must understand that we can’t dominate or exert any sort of influence if we aren’t fruitful. Fruitfulness yields prosperity which in turn places you in the realm of dominion.
When you look at the story of the talents from the bible in Matthew 25, you will find out that Jesus was not pleased with the servant who had refused to be fruitful with what he had been given. The results God expects of us are commensurate with the gifts we were given.
Unproductivity is seen as mediocrity and the consequences are greater than imagined.
This week, remember that God has called you to be prosperous, multiplying the gifts you have been given, and increasing your fruits in all areas of your life.
