Build Relevant Skills
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
You can be successful in enterprise, ministry, or career as a Christian if you work hard and know what you are doing. As a Christian entrepreneur, you should strive to use Biblical enterprise principles to grow your enterprise and trust the process.
Like all entrepreneurs, many Christians want to be successful in an enterprise, but many do not possess the right skills needed to manage an enterprise.
As Christian enterprise owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals, we are called by God to conduct our enterprise with morals and ethics. We have been entrusted with His resources and need to manage them with care and skill. It is our responsibility to honor the Lord in our enterprise by observing and following His principles.
There are a lot of skills every enterprise owner must possess. Problem-solving skills, time management, resilience, grit, emotional intelligence, customer service, relational skills, financial management skills, social skills ... the list is endless, but it is pertinent to know that there's a constant need for us all to be in continuous learning of skills as our enterprises enlarge.
Above all, the skills we must learn must follow Godly principles, so we continue to walk in His guidance. We are all born with unique gifts and talents that are essential to our careers and professions. Allowing God to develop and use these abilities allows Him to increase and strengthen us in so many ways greater than we could do on our own. Using our gifts and talents wisely and becoming outstanding in our occupation, whatever profession it may be, honors God.
