WHAT YOU GET BY JOINING OUR TEAM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ONE-YEAR INTERSHIP PROGRAM

Our one-year internship is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of faith-based ministry and nonprofit management. You’ll rotate across our core teams, deepening your understanding of how we serve and empower families.
  • Team Rotations: Experience working across Operations, Care, Ministry, and Youth Teams, gaining practical insights into the day-to-day functions of a thriving faith-based organization.
  • Practicum Placements: Get involved in real-world projects with the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing programs, such as leadership development, family counseling, and community outreach.

FAITH-BASED LEADERSHIP &  
MINISTRY TRAINING

Learn how to lead and serve within a Christian, family-focused ministry.

This includes:

  • Spiritual Leadership Development: Grow in your faith as you develop essential leadership skills.
  • Training Workshops: Ongoing training in areas such as project management, ministry operations, and nonprofit leadership.

PROFESSIONAL  DEVELOPMENT PLAN

From the moment you join, we are committed to your growth. Our 12-month professional development plan includes:

  • Personalized Career Path: Work closely with your supervisor to create a tailored development plan based on your strengths, interests, and career goals.
  • Mentorship: Be paired with a mentor who will support and guide you through your journey with Families Arising.
  • Skill-Building Workshops: Participate in targeted training sessions that build both your personal and professional skill set.

ON-GOING SUPPORT &  SUPERVISION

To ensure you’re fully supported, our post-orientation buddy system will pair you with a seasoned team member for guidance and accountability.

  • Weekly Check-ins (First Month): Receive weekly supervision and guidance to help you transition smoothly.
  • Monthly Check-ins (After First Month): Continue with monthly support sessions to track progress and adjust your goals as needed.

Oluseye Ashiru
Founder & executive director, Families Arising

Oluseye Ashiru is deeply committed to the building and equipping families with resources, support and community where they can be deeply rooted, truly thrive and flourish in every area of their lives.


She started off the community now known as Families Arising in November of 2014, and has been fully passionate about leading this organization through the different seasons of impact.

This community that started off with a small committed group of people has grown with impact to thousands of lives and families and a global network of volunteers from across the world, and we know that God is just getting started with us.

Adenike Odewale

Director - Children & Teens Ministry
Adenike has a heart for teaching, discipling and making  impact in the lives of children. She has served for years bringing the message of Jesus, spiritual growth and development to the children in our community.
Her heart for serving children gave rise to establishing our children's ministry alongside her team.

Oluwatosin Olasanmi

Director, Care Team
Oluwatosin has a heart for serving others and she has been serving at Families Arising as a member of our team for years.

As a dedicated part of the Families Arising team , she leads our CARE team that is responsible for creating a warm atmosphere here at Families Arising.

Oyinola Ogungbe

Director - Operations
Oyinola has been a part of Families Arising for almost a decade, serving and giving back through different parts of this ministry. Her heart for service has seen her serving for many  years across different teams and is now heading our Operations Team.

Omosefe Evah

Director -  Ministry
Omosefe is a dedicated part of the Families Arising team who has a heart for teaching, building and equipping others.
Her heart for discipling others in growing in intimacy with the Holy Spirit has been pivotal to her serving with our Ministry team.

Serve Teams

Operations Team

Our OPERATIONS TEAM consists of our Administration, Projects, Programs & Media teams.
This team is dedicated to serving the organization through media and communications, administration, Event planning and coordination, Programs and Activity planning and Projects execution.

Children & teens Ministry

Our Children and Teens Ministry is known as our Junior Youniversity for Kids, Teens and Youth.
This team is responsible for coordinating all activities and programs focused on our children and teenagers in Families Arising.
They are responsible for providing gospel-centred resources, programs and events for our children, teens and youth.

Ministry Team

Our MINISTRY team is responsible for our ROOTED Disciples School of Ministry, Scribes team, House of Prayer and our Internship program.
This team is committed to equipping believers with the tools to grow in their intimacy with the Holy Spirit, in their walk with God and to live out God's purpose for their lives and make other disciples.

Care Team

Our CARE Team is deeply committed to ensuring our community members and partners feel loved and welcome. They ensure that we demonstrate the love of Jesus to others in our community and society. The CARE Team is in charge of our Community care, Missions projects, counselling team and partner relations and engagement with our ministry partners across the world.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I Join The Team?

To volunteer to serve on a team, all you need to do is have a heart to serve, a desire to make legacy impact and a willingness to be a part of our team. Then you can sign up to join us, and we will reach out to you with details on taking the next steps and undergoing our volunteer training sessions.

What are the requirements To Become A Team Member?

All our volunteers will undergo  our 12-week team on-boarding orientation and training, so that they are equipped personally and so that they can serve to the best of their abilities. Requirements will be discussed during the selection and orientation process.

What if i only want to partner through donations?

We understand that not everyone may be in the season of their lives where they can volunteer to serve, but still want to be a part of what God is doing here at Families Arising.
We invite you to partner with us financially by giving to the work we do here.
You can choose to make a one-time donation or become a regular giving partner of the work God is doing.
