Trust Vs Worry
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6
Entrust Your Child to God
What does it mean to trust in God?
When you think about the word trust, other words that come to mind include confidence, security and believe. Simply put, when I say I trust God, it implies that I can put my confidence and security in God.
As a parent today, do you trust God with the lives and future of your children? This trust begins with releasing your children to God. You can’t be everywhere and with your children all the time. But God can be with them every single minute of the day. You can’t see and know everything about your children in every season of their lives. But God can and reveal all that you need to know. God wants you to trust him with your children.
Parents are sometimes prone to worrying about various milestones in their children’s lives. A mother starts to worry when she feels like her child’s growth process is slow. One worries about how safe her child will be without her presence. Some even worry about the future of child that is still many years ahead. Yet, God says to us in his word – how many of you can add a year to your lifespan by worrying.
Worrying will keep you constantly living in fear about your children. It will also prevent you from seeing how much God can do in the lives of your children when you choose to trust him.
Stormie Omartian in her book: The power of a praying parent said – “ No matter what age our children are, releasing them into God’s hands is a sign of our faith and trust in him and is the first step towards making a difference in their lives.”
Instead of worrying, why not trust God today with the life and future of your children.
Prayer Moment:
Thank you, Father for helping me know that I can partner with you to raise my children according to your divine plan and purpose for their lives. Today, I release control of every fear, panic attack and anxiety I feel over my children.
Instead, I release them into your hands and trust that you will teach me ways to guide them and lead them in your word and ways. I will trust you Lord through every season of my children’s lives.
I will trust you for their today, tomorrow and their future. I release my children to your care, guidance, and protection all the days of their lives. Amen!
