Pursuing Jesus by Ufuoma Fijabi

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” -Psalm 63:1
I PURSUE Jesus With All of My Heart.

Thank you, Father, for the gift of your son Jesus who died to save me from my sins. Thank you for loving me even when I did not deserve it. Thank you for giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit to abide with me forever. Fill me with the desire to know more about you.

Open my heart to thirst for your presence in my life every single day. Fill me an undying passion for you Lord. Let there always be a deep longing in my heart to spend time in your presence. I want to dwell in your house and gaze on your beauty. I want to seek your face. I want to worship only you.

Take me deeper in my prayer life and into a life of intimacy with you. Help me to walk in the light of your word and true holiness. I want to know you more. My utmost desire is to seek you with my whole heart. I will seek you in the morning, noon, and nighttime. Help me Lord to seek you continually.

Remove every distraction in my life that seeks to keep me from your presence. Take away the compromise and complacency in my life. I want to carry your presence wherever I go.
I want to come up higher to your throne. I want to sit with you in heavenly places. I refuse to be passive in my pursuit of God.

I declare that my soul thirsts for you Lord. My flesh longs for your presence even in my dry and weary state. My whole being desires to be filled with all of you. Fill me afresh with your spirit and let the Holy Spirit be more real to me than I have ever known. I lean into your grace Lord and receive strength to pursue God in my everyday life. I will live my life daily in active communion with the person of the Holy Spirit.

And I declare that as I walk in union with God, he takes me into deeper realms of fellowship with his presence. I am a God - seeker and I will dwell daily in the presence of my father. Amen!
