“'And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.”

The Bible gives us the principles to determine the strategy we need for our enterprise. We may or may not be given specific guidance as to how we should approach the vision.
Our Bible text reveals how God prospered Jacob through strategic thinking which was revealed by God in Genesis.
Laban's intentions were not pure at all, but God is God, and He alone knows what plans go on in the hearts of men. That's not our focus for today. Jacob knew that the Lord was with him and committed His ways to God to achieve His vision.
Even Laban greatly benefited from God's presence on Jacob. When it was time for Jacob to leave for Canaan, He requested his wages in the form of livestock. Laban thought he was wiser to have taken the best of the livestock to lessen Jacob's wages, but Jacob had the wisdom and strategically positioned the animals to face a particular direction when mating as well as feeding them some special diet.
The result of this strategy employed by Jacob was evident in verse 43, as he became prosperous. When you are at a crossroads in your work, it is an indication that a new strategy is to be employed. The old strategy will fail to work when a new strategy is needed.
Your strategies must be sharp, bold, focused, and specific to achieve your desired result.

• I am strategically positioned to lead my business to the promised land.
