Be Accountable to your Team by Blessing Akinwale

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.”
– Ecclesiastes 4:9 KJV
Do you have a group of people you are accountable to?

Like the story of Elizabeth and Mary in Luke 2: 39 - 47, you need God to open your eyes to see and connect with those on a similar journey.

You need trustworthy, non-judgmental, dependable, and loyal people who are willing to hold you responsible for achieving the tasks and goals you set for yourself that support your overall career.

The idea is that, once someone apart from yourself understands what you need to do or what you desire to achieve, there is a greater incentive to go all out and get it done to avoid having to explain why you couldn't to another person.

My prayer is that the Lord will bring such people to your space.
It is often said that in the journey of life, you cannot walk alone; the same principle applies in other aspects of life including your enterprise. You need faithful, loyal, and committed staff (may the Lord bring them your way) to work with you in achieving your set goals.

You must however endeavor to be transparent in your lifestyle remembering that the life you live has a direct and indirect impact on its own. You need to consider them as precious people in God’s eyes whom you are accountable for, not mere tools to pave your way to success. It's your responsibility to skill, groom, mentor them, and plan their careers. Have a growth plan for everyone under you, in their growth lies your own.

When people know they can trust you with their lives, they will be more than willing to serve you.

Prayer Moment

• Lord, as you give me the gifts of loyal and faithful staff, help me to be a blessing to them in every way possible.

• Open my eyes Lord Jesus to see those you have put in my space to help me and my enterprise.

• I surround myself with the right team, with the right people, and in the right space.

Think Over it
What is God saying to me today?
