My Conflicts by Isioma Martins

“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. - Matthew 18:15-17 (NIV)
Father, I thank you because through your word you teach me, prepare me, and show me how to resolve conflict. Thank you because I am equipped to honor and obey you. You are a faithful God.

Search my heart oh Lord and uncover every wicked way within me. Forgive me for my pride, improper desires, and anger that cause conflict and strife. Free me of these things so that I will not end up in a cycle of conflict always.

I declare that I am a peacemaker. I have the patience to hold my tongue, tranquillity in my soul, and the strength to overcome conflicts.

I do not harbor anger, bitterness, and hatred in my heart because it is not of God, for the peace of God is restored within me.

I declare that I have the grace to pray for people I have a conflict with.

Thank you, Lord, because I am learning how to forgive and resolve any conflicts that may arise, immediately and peacefully. I speak of excellent things and from the opening of my lips will come only what is right. My mouth will speak the truth and not wickedness. I declare that all the words of my mouth are with righteousness, nothing crooked or perverse in them.

I do not take vengeance, nor do I bear any grudges, rather I love others just as I love myself.
I receive the grace to not only look out for my interests but to look out for the interests of others.

Thank you, Lord, for always being faithful. For always moving mightily on my behalf and for being my very present help in time of trouble. Amen.
